Day 25: Cold Water Therapy

It still sucks getting into the shower first thing and turning on the cold water full blast. But after standing in the cold and showering for however long, I did notice that I’m starting to like the sensation. Not just waking up, but my body is starting to actually feel good under the cold water. Yep, gotta start doing full on cold plunges every week.

I was listening to a bit of an interview with Jocko yesterday and he was talking about the progression of his books or really the complementary nature of them. Extreme Ownership is about taking ownership for what you can in your life, the Dichotomy of Leadership is about balance, and I can remember what he said about Discipline Equals Freedom (I haven’t read it yet anyway). But yeah some things to think about as I’ve been working to overhaul myself internally.

I haven’t made as much progress as I would have liked, but I have made progress and I’m building a sense of internal control and discipline that I haven’t ever had – so hell yeah. Not a bad accomplishment for 2024 and we’re not even half way through yet.
