Day 11: No Alcohol

I slipped with the sugar last night and drank 3 cokes and had some gummy fruit snacks – easiest thing to do is to get rid of sugar, second easiest thing to do will be to switch to diet or sugar free soda. I’ll try that in a day or two.

I feel like the whole no alcohol thing has actually picked up a head of steam and now it’s becoming a matter of inertia. I don’t want to have to start over again, to get to 30 days without alcohol.

I hit the gym and did 3 sets of 10 kickstand squats on each leg with a 20lb dumbbell in front, goblet style. Then I did some half bench press with 40lb dumbbells – something Loren Christensen recommends for building punching power, so gonna try mixing them in. I did 3 sets of 10 reps on each arm. I did 3 sets of deadlift: 5 reps at 135, 5 reps at 225, and 5 reps at 305 – my deadlift form seems to be rock solid and I should be doing 315 by my next rotation for deadlift. Then I did 3 sets of 20 torso twists for some more ab work. Another week of 3 good workouts in the book.
