I still don’t know if it’s just because there’s a section of the water main on my house that’s exposed to the outside overnight that the water seems so much colder when I first get in the shower – or if it’s just that my body adapts, but damn it’s COLD. I guess the real tell tale will be if the water isn’t quite as cold when the temp quits dropping overnight. It’s only supposed to get down to 40 degrees tonight – so we’ll see.
In other news, I am starting to find it a little easier to make myself do things when I don’t want to do them. I was listening to Andrew Huberman and David Goggins the other day, and Huberman mentioned a specific part of the brain that grows when you actively make yourself do things you don’t want to do. So perhaps that part of my brain is growing – which is really what I want out of a lot of this type of self-discipline.
