Had friends over for Dungeons and Dragons last night – we didn’t do much campaign wise, we were busy catching up as it’s been a while since we got together.
Talking with everyone about what I’ve been doing this year, my friends are impressed. But the Mrs. pointed out that I won’t be able to drink on her birthday which is disappointing for her. I have been thinking about it, and when I started this I was going to hit 30 days just before her birthday celebration.
So I think I’m going to give myself a pass, I’ve already been improving my relationship with alcohol the way I’ve wanted and thanks to my experience with cold water showers, I know I can keep going with controlling my alcohol consumption. But my experience has shown me that I have to have hard rules in place prior to anything.
