Day 14: No Alcohol

The single biggest improvement I’ve noticed with not drinking is how well I’m sleeping. My son keeps climbing into bed – over me, I’m sure and I’m out until my alarm goes off. Yeah, I need to get back to pulling myself out of bed at 5:15, but meh I’m making progress everywhere else.

I made it to the gym, and did my squats – 3 sets of 5 reps at 285lbs. I did 3 sets of 5 reps at 145 on overhead press. I did 3 super-sets of farmer carries at 80lbs in each hand and shoulder tap planks. Those farmer carries are BRUTAL, the shoulder taps are helping my core development. Then I did 10 minutes on the elliptical at about 8 mph for 10 minutes. Yeah, that was a good workout.

I still need to get some stretching and mobility in, as well as some footwork and striking practice. But I’ll do those after lunch, I need to get some work done.
