I hit the gym and got everything I planned on done:
- Squats: 3 sets of 5 reps at 315lbs
- Press: 1 set of 5 reps at 170lbs, 2 sets of 4 reps at 170lbs
- Deadlifts: 1 set of 5 reps at 155lbs, 1 set of 5 reps at 165lbs, 1 set of 5 reps at 355lbs
- 3 sets of high-waiter holds for 30 seconds at 50lbs
- Elliptical: 5 minutes pre-workout, 15 minutes post-workout – 3 of which were a cool down
Yeah, I’m going to stay at 170lbs on press until I get all 3 work sets to 5 reps. Deadlifts and Squats, I’m going to stay at 355 and 315 respectively. My right side was refusing to engage properly today – I need to do some further rehab. The Kickstand Squats are great, but I think the breakdown is in my obliques/low back. I realized my right leg was almost completely unloaded during my deadlift.
In terms of building a second brain, I’m continuing to do research into data curation methods as well as experimenting with that I’ve already got. Joplin is working well, I also started a folder structure in my NextCloud instance for PARA implementation.
The idea of:
- Projects – things with a definite end
- Areas – areas of personal responsibility: health and finance or areas of professional responsibility: TPS reports and audit results
- Resources – things you’re interested in learning about such as time management and productivity or the history of Scandinavia
- Archives – Completed projects, areas responsibility or interest that no longer apply to you
I also did find an audio book on building a 2nd brain I might give a shot – actually I probably will.
